Buying genuine IT hardware, graphics processing units, and high-performance laptops from Micro Center US and shipping to Nigeria requires a dedicated US warehouse receiving address and secure air freight. Through our established shipping from the USA to Nigeria service, Nigerian tech founders, engineers, and digital agencies can shop major US retailers and enjoy pre-cleared doorstep delivery across Lagos and all 36 states.
Why Tech Professionals in Nigeria Shop Micro Center US
Micro Center is one of the premier computer and consumer electronics department stores in the United States, renowned for competitive in-store deals on NVIDIA RTX graphics cards, AMD Ryzen processors, enterprise network switches, and Apple hardware. Many of these components are either difficult to find in West Africa or sold locally at heavy markups by grey-market retailers with questionable warranty support.
However, Micro Center does not offer direct international shipping to West Africa. To purchase from their online catalog, Nigerian buyers need a secure, verified US delivery address that can accept packages, inspect fragile electronics, and arrange expedited air freight.
How to Use Haulam’s Texas Receiving Warehouse Address
Haulam operates a dedicated receiving and consolidation facility in Texas, providing seamless package forwarding for US shoppers:
- Create Your Account: Sign up on the Haulam portal to receive your unique Texas warehouse address, complete with your personal suite number.
- Shop Micro Center: Complete your order on Micro Center or other US electronics retailers (like Newegg, B&H, or Amazon US), entering your Haulam Texas address as the shipping destination.
- Intake and Inspection: Once your IT gear arrives at our Texas hub, our cargo team logs the tracking details, inspects outer packaging for transit integrity, and updates your dashboard.
- Consolidation and Repacking: If you order multiple parts (such as RAM modules, SSDs, power supplies, and processors), we can consolidate them into a single protective carton to minimize dimensional weight.
- Direct Doorstep Delivery: We clear Nigerian customs at Lagos airport and deliver your components directly to your home or office address nationwide.
Choosing Between Haulam Express Import and Value Import
For US electronics imports, Haulam gives you two distinct service levels:
- Haulam Value Import (10 to 15 Business Days): The most cost-effective solution for heavier computer towers, server racks, monitors, and bulk electronics. Value Import provides air cargo consolidation with 100 percent pre-managed customs clearance, ensuring zero surprise customs fees or demurrage bills upon arrival in Nigeria.
- Haulam Express Import (3 to 5 Business Days): Priority air courier delivery powered by DHL Express. Ideal for urgent replacement motherboards, mission-critical server parts, and high-priority laptops that cannot afford transit delays.

Lithium Battery Compliance for Laptops and Portable Electronics
Modern laptops, tablets, and portable testing tools contain integrated rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and FAA regulations strictly control the transport of lithium batteries on commercial flights:
- Installed Batteries Only: Laptops with built-in batteries contained within equipment are fully permitted under IATA Section II packaging standards.
- No Loose or Uncertified Lithium Cells: Standalone power banks and loose lithium-ion replacement cells without safety casing cannot travel on standard passenger aircraft.
- Manufacturer Protective Packaging: Keep laptops in their original manufacturer cardboard packaging with inner foam end-caps to prevent shock damage and accidental terminal activation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the receiver in Lagos pay customs duty when picking up Value Import electronics?
No. Haulam Value Import includes full customs clearance in Nigeria. The receiver enjoys zero unexpected customs bills upon package arrival.
Can Haulam consolidate items from different US stores into one shipment?
Yes. You can order items from Micro Center, Best Buy, and Amazon US, and our Texas warehouse team will consolidate them into a single box to help reduce overall freight costs.
How is volumetric weight calculated for computer monitors and desktop cases?
Haulam uses the standard international air cargo divisor: (Length in cm × Width in cm × Height in cm) ÷ 5000. For large monitors, dimensional weight often applies due to carton size.
Does Haulam provide transit insurance for high-value computer hardware?
Yes. Optional comprehensive cargo insurance is available during shipment booking to protect against accidental damage or loss in transit.
